PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic display medium wherein a mark can be added with other display color by handwriting and an image can be additionally written to the image on which an image of a diagram or the like is displayed and which is lightweight, thin and manufactured at low cost. SOLUTION: The electronic display medium is formed by layering a first liquid crystal layer consisting of a cholesteric liquid crystal, wherein an image is recorded by the both functions of irradiation of writing Light carrying the image and application of voltage between a pair of electrodes and a second liquid crystal layer consisting of a cholesteric liquid crystal, wherein a pressed part is compressed by pressing so as to be freely restored to make the internal liquid crystal flow and the trace of the pressed part is recorded by the flowing function of the liquid crystal between the pair of electrodes.
