PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the leakage current of all of SI thyristors connected in series to the same level as the largest leakage current among elements used, and thereby reduce the total power consumption. SOLUTION: Transistors 26, 36, and 37 connected in parallel with a SI thyristor 10 are controlled according to the voltage applied to the SI thyristor 10, and thereby the influences of the leakage current of the SI thyristor are compensated.
