PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL element having organic thin films including a light emitting layer between a pair of electrodes properly prevented from generation of leak and short-circuit of current. SOLUTION: For the organic EL element having the organic thin films 40, 50 and 60 including the light emitting layer 50 between a pair of electrodes 20, 80, all organic materials constructing those organic thin films 40, 50 and 60 are made of materials having volatilizing property when forming a film by a vacuum evaporation method.
