<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data storage system, data storage method, and data storage service capable of safely and efficiently storing the data provided by a user. <P>SOLUTION: A terminal of a storage requester and the terminal of a storage place provider are connected to a center server through a communication network. The center server comprises at least a means 2a for receiving image data; a recording area information storage means 3c for acquiring the recording area information of the terminal of the storage place provider and storing it; a terminal selection means 2e for selecting at least one terminal in reference to the recording area information; an image data working means 2f for subjecting the image data to a work such as encryption processing; and a transmitting means 2g for transmitting the worked image data to the selected terminal. According to such a structure, the image data is distributed and stored in the terminal of the user differed from the provider of the image data, whereby a risk such as breakage of image data can be distributed, and the image data can be safely and efficiently stored. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
