A method for draining water in roof insulating blocks on a pitched roof has angled metal strips pressed into the profiles for hanging the roof tiles. The strips are applied above any apertures through the roof insulation and through the roof, e.g. chimneys, pipes etc. The drainage system is integral to the blocks and normally ducts water to side drains.
