The bicycle pedal has an elastic clamping device with a front (31) and a rear (32) connecting plate rotatably fastened on a shaft (33) fastened on both sides of the body (20) of the pedal. An adjusting screw extends through the rear connecting plate and a clamping plate is fastened to the end of the adjusting screw. At least one torsion spring (34) is rotatably fitted on the shaft and by which both the front and the rear connecting plate can exert an inward-directed clamping force.
