PURPOSE: A method for appraising a patent is provided to enable many persons related to the patent field to correctly analyze the patent's value, and to recover the reliability of a patent related organization by setting up an appraisal standard and offering a guide for appraising the patent based on the research and checking data of each necessary item. CONSTITUTION: A use range of a patent product is selected by supposing a procedure manufacturing the patent product and launching it to market. The benefit of the patent is compared and analyzed through a precedent technology research and a related expert. A patent appraisal item, such as the applicable value, the multiple function, the improvement possibility, the research value, a continuation point, a social discipline point, the assumed productivity, and the assumed marketable of the patent, is selected in order to predict the productivity and the marketable of the patent. The total value of the patent is appraised by adding and calculating each item into an average.
