AUTOMATIC LENSMETER FOR MEASURING REFRACTIVE POWER OF PROGRESSIVE LENSE AND MEASURING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An automatic lensmeter for measuring refractive power of progressive lenses and a measuring method thereof are provided to allow a user to easily measure refractive power by sufficiently providing information to the user in each measuring step. CONSTITUTION: An automatic lensmeter includes an optical measuring section(40), which radiates light while varying a position of a progressive multi-focus lens and detects a position displacement of signal light passing through the progressive multi-focus lens. An electronic control section(44) is provided to determine a center point of the progressive multi-focus lens by receiving the position displacement of signal light. The electronic control section(44) calculates a refractive power, cylindrical power and a cylindrical angle. A mechanical unit section(42) is provided to fix the progressive multi-focus lens while observing and handling the progressive multi-focus lens. A measuring result and measuring information are displayed in a display section(46).
