PURPOSE: A method for upgrading a program is provided to receive a document output and transfer device driver program from the Internet in real-time and to automatically upgrade the program. CONSTITUTION: A driver is initially installed to a user's system when the user buys a document output and transfer device product(300). After completing the driver installation to the user's system, an upgrade program is automatically installed(301). If the upgrade program is automatically installed, an icon is generated in an execution region of the user's system and is operated in real-time(302). The icon plays a role for a navigator by receiving the web page information from a web server through the Internet in real-time. If the icon is operated, the web page information is transferred to the user's system from the web server through the Internet. If the user selects the icon(303), the real-time information transferred from the web server is displayed, and the user automatically upgrade the driver program by clicking the driver upgrade program in case that the driver program is changed.
