LINEAR ACTUATOR

A linear actuator with an improvement in reliability and in performance. This linear actuator comprises a stator, a moving element having an iron piece and so provided in the stator as to reciprocate, a permanent magnet provided in the stator in a state of facing the iron piece, and a coil provided in the stator. The coil and the permanent magnet the current direction of which varies on the stator side make a magnetic flux passing through the iron piece move to reciprocate the moving element. No need to supply power to the moving element causes neither the disconnection of the moving element nor the increase of weight.
