This invention relates to the application of flexible or diffusible films (130) to form an openable sealing means (140) on packages (100). In particular, the invention relates to the application of flexible or diffusible films (130) to form an openable sealing means (140) on packages for containing food that are intended to be being heated by microwave ovens. The current invention is a simpler and more convenient solution to contain the food by packaging that will enable the food to be heated without the need of puncturing the packaging prior to heating.
