<p>The book holder (10) is designed as a handheld foldable device for holding a book and keeping its pages open for reading purposes. It comprises a frame (20) having a central fixed part (30) and two foldable side parts (40,50). A handle (12) is connected to the frame (20). A spine support assembly (70) is used to hold the book. Two page pressing elements (60), each being provided on a corresponding foldable side part (40,50), are used to press the pages of the book and keep it open. This book holder (10) is foldable into a very compact item which can be carried in a bag or the like. In use, the reader can use only one hand while reading the book. This provides a more comfortable and natural position compared to conventional methods and previous systems for holding books.</p> |
