DATA INPUT BUFFER FOR REDUCING WRITE TIME LOSS AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A data input buffer for reducing a write time loss and a method thereof are provided to reduce the write time loss and a layout area and improve a window characteristic defined by a data setup time and a data hold time. CONSTITUTION: A data input buffer(300) includes a data conversion circuit(210), a phase synchronization circuit(310), and a data latch circuit(320). The data conversion circuit is synchronized with the first edge and the second edge of a data strobe signal in order to convert serial data to parallel data. The phase synchronization circuit removes a phase difference of the parallel data in response to the first edge of a clock signal. The data latch circuit outputs the parallel data without the phase difference in response to the second edge of the clock signal. The clock signal is generated after the serial data are converted to the parallel data.
