The present invention relates to a cosmetic and/or dermatological composition containing an acidic aqueous medium and at least one amphiphilic polymer including at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer containing a sulphonic group, in free form or partially or totally neutralized form and comprising at least one hydrophobic portion. The invention also relates to the use of this composition for cosmetically treating and/or making up keratin materials, especially the skin, the hair and the mucous membranes of the skin. The invention also relates to the use of an amphiphilic polymer including at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer containing a sulphonic group, in free form or partially or totally neutralized form and comprising at least one hydrophobic portion to stabilize a cosmetic or dermatological composition containing at least one acidic active agent and/or having a pH less than or equal to 5.
