PURPOSE: A method of automatically updating a home-zone list in a mobile communication system is provided to determine BTSs(Base Transceiver Subsystems) whose BTS system parameters are changed when cell shapes are changed, and to generate home-zone lists for subscribers, thereby simply obtaining the changed home-zone lists. CONSTITUTION: When cell shapes are changed, a home-zone service center receives cell shape changing information(S100). The home-zone service center determines BTSs whose BTS system parameters are changed by the changed cell shapes(S200). The home-zone service center selects all subscribers influenced by the changed cell shapes by using coordinates of the determined BTSs(S300). A home-zone list generation algorithm generates home-zone lists for the selected subscribers(S400). The generated home-zone lists are stored in a subscriber DB of the home-zone service center, and is updated in a home location register(S500).
