PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass block which can simply be produced without the need of a complicated operation and can withstand a long time usage, and has an improved appearance, and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The glass block is characterized in that a glass molding 1 which is a component of the glass block 10 is molded from a plurality of glass materials having different colors. And the method is characterized by dividing the interior of a female mold 20 into a plurality of areas with partitions 22, supplying a plurality of molten glass lumps 5a, 6a having different colors into the plurality of the areas with the colors being different each other between the adjacent areas, thereafter removing the partitions 22, and then pressing the plurality of the molten glass lumps 5a, 6a with the female mold 20 and a male mold 23.
