PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a water-absorbing polyurethane foam without causing irregular expansion and molding, to provide the water- absorbing polyurethane foam, a cushion material and a sealing material. SOLUTION: This method for producing the water-absorbing polyurethane foam comprises charging a mold with a mixture of a flexible polyurethane foam in the form of chips, a powdery highly water absorbing resin and a binder followed by heating the mixture to effect curing the binder.
