PURPOSE: A structure of an upper plate in a plasma display panel is provided to shield undesirable rays generated from plasma and improve the color purity by forming a dielectric layer including a colorant. CONSTITUTION: A sustain electrode(22) is located at a bottom portion of a glass substrate(21). A bus electrode(23) is located partially at a bottom portion of the sustain electrode. A dielectric layer(24) is located on the entire surface of the bottom portions of the bus electrode, the sustain electrode, and glass substrate. The dielectric layer includes a colorant to perform a function of a color filter for indicating one or more colors. A filtering effect of a desired degree is obtained by changing contents of the colorant. A protective layer(25) is formed at a bottom portion of the dielectric layer. |
