PURPOSE: To provide an XY positioning device for positioning a moving body at high accuracy, and an electronic part mounting device for mounting an electronic part to a board with high accuracy. CONSTITUTION: A shape at cross section of an X-axis frame 11 that supports a head unit (a moving body) 4 while allowing movement in a direction is made into a shape symmetric in horizontal and vertical direction. Linear guides 13, 13 that guide the head unit 4 and back plates 14, 14 that reinforce the X-axis frame 11 are formed from the same material into the same shape at cross section. The linear guides 13, 13 and the back plates 14 and 14 are fixed to the X-axis frame 11 in an arrangement in which the shape at cross section in a state where the linear guides 13, 13 and the back plates 14 and 14 are set to the X-axis frame 11 is symmetric in the horizontal and vertical directions. Thereby the X-axis frame 11 and the linear guides 13 and 13 are prevented from distorting concurrent temperature variation, and accuracy in positioning of the head unit 4 is improved.
