<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant resin composition excellent in mass producibility, freely colorable, having high flame retardancy, mechanical characteristic and excellent pressure adhesion, with no concern of pollution due to incineration or reclaiming on waste disposal, and to provide wiring material using the composition as the coating material. <P>SOLUTION: This flame-retardant resin composition comprises 0.05 pts.mass of an organic peroxide (K), 0.1 to 2 pts.mass of a cross-linking aid (L) and 100 to 300 pts.mass of a metal hydrate to 100 pts.mass of a thermoplastic resin component (J) comprising (a) 3 to 97 mass% ethylene/α-olefin copolymer and/or ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer and/or ethylene/(meth)acrylic ester, and (b) 97 to 3 mass% acrylic acid and/or methacrylic acid-modified polyolefin resin and/or ethylene/(meth)acrylic acid copolymer, wherein at least 50 mass% of the metal hydrate (M) is treated by a reactive silane coupling agent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
