PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolytic capacitor which has good characteristics of joining an anode wire and a cathode lead, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A capacitor element 4 has a body 4a where a cathode metal film 4d is formed on its surrounding surface and the anode wire 4b extruding from one end face of the body 4a, and is contained in a resin package 8. In the capacitor 9, the cathode lead 3, whose inside end is connected to the cathode metal film 4d, and the anode lead 2, whose inside end is connected to the anode wire 4b, are extended outside the resin package 8 respectively. The anode wire 4b and the anode lead 2 are fixed by a needle-like member 6, which passes through the anode lead 2 from the side of the anode wire 4b and both its ends are folded on another side of the anode wire, so that the side of the anode wire 4b is contacted to the side of the plate-like anode lead 2.
