PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing machine which can obtain a high quality printed matter, and to provide a printing method. SOLUTION: The printing machine 1 is provided with a photoreceptor drum 2, an electrifying device 3 to electrify the surface of the photoreceptor drum 2, an exposing device 4 to form an electrostatic latent image on the surface of the photoreceptor drum 2 electrified by the electrifying device 3, a developing means 19 to develop the electrostatic latent image by feeding liquid toner on the surface of the photoreceptor drum 2 exposed by the exposing device 4, a transfer roll 6 on which the image on the photoreceptor drum 2 developed by the developing means 19 is transferred, and a backup roll 7 to transfer the image transferred by the transfer roll 6 to a print sheet W. The developing means 19 is provided with toner housing chambers 5B to 5E in which the liquid toner is housed, developing rollers 15B to 15E which are provided in the toner housing chambers 5B to 5E and feed the liquid toner to the photoreceptor drum 2, and agitators 63B to 63E to agitate the liquid toner.
