PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for controlling film advance in film producing equipment which has a small-sized and simple constitution, easily performs a control of the advance of a film strip and enables the production of a winding body of high quality film. SOLUTION: A film roll rotation controlling part 746 drives an advancing motor 148 according to the first speed pattern, advances the film strip from a film roll 14 and supplies the same to an advancing mechanism 80 via a buffer mechanism 78. On the other hand, a sprocket controlling part 748 drives an advance motor 196 according to the second speed pattern which is set independent of the first speed pattern and supplies the film strip to a spool 22.
