<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encoder which has a short waiting time as well as can generate codes with random offsets without requiring ROM for initial value storage in a code sequence such as PN sequence having a cycle. <P>SOLUTION: An encoder consists of an encoder 10 and an initial value generator 20. The encoder 10 comprises a shift register 11 that performs a shift operation with a predetermined default values set, and an adder 12 that performs an EXCLUSIVE-OR operation of an output from a predetermined section of the shift register 11 to feed-back to a input section of the shift register 11 for generating a cyclic apparent random number codes with an shift operation of the shift register 11. An initial value generator 20 comprises similar shift register 21 and adder 22 as those of the code generator 10 to generate a predetermined initial value to be set in the encoder 10 by the shift operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
