PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk recording method and an optical disk reproducing method that can easily execute special reproduction such as high- speed reproduction and searching at a high-speed for an optical disk for recording compressed moving picture data. SOLUTION: A table for special reproduction is recorded and a sector address is attached to each sector. Then the optical disk reproducing apparatus references the special reproduction table to obtain the sector address of corresponding compressed image data, searches the address on the optical disk and reproduces the data. Thus, the optical disk reproducing apparatus can easily perform special reproduction such as high-speed reproduction, slow reproduction and revise reproduction and also searching.
