PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a solid state detector having a linear electrode in which stored charges can be read out even when the linear electrode is disconnected partially. SOLUTION: The solid state detector 20 comprises a first conductive layer 21, a photoconductive layer for recording 22, a charge carrier layer 23, a photoconductive layer for reading 24, and a second conductive layer 25 having a generating electrode 26 comprising a large number of elements 26a equipped with a plurality of linear electrodes constituting one pixel and a photoelectric charge pair nongenerating electrode 27 comprising a large number of elements 27a equipped with a plurality of linear electrodes constituting one pixel wherein one ends of respective linear electrodes of the elements 26a and 27a are interconnected in order to be connected with a reader whereas the other ends are interconnected in order to make detour a detection signal upon disconnection of one linear electrode.
