PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent image deterioration caused by ghost light by a laser beam made incident on an image carrier and regularly reflected. SOLUTION: In this image forming device equipped with a plurality of image carriers 17 arranged in parallel along a transfer medium and an exposure means 6 forming a latent image by deflecting the laser beam modulated according to an image signal to scan the image carrier, the exposure means 6 scans the image carrier by deflecting the laser beam at an incident angle larger than 0 from an electrification side, and has non-parallel optical paths, and has a plurality of laser beam sources modulated according to the image signal corresponding to the image carriers 17, a rotary polygon mirror common to the respective laser beam sources and an optical path radially reflected from the common reflection surface of the rotary polygon mirror and deflecting to perform scanning. The optical path length from the common reflection surface of the rotary polygon mirror to the respective image carriers is nearly the same, and a plurality of image carriers are arranged in parallel along an oblique arched line at positions where they press-contact with a transfer medium from below.
