PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove the influence of reflected waves due to an ambient environment in an antenna measuring place or the like without the mechanical rotation of a receiving antenna in a measuring apparatus for the radiation pattern of the antenna. SOLUTION: The measuring apparatus is provided with a phase shifter which changes a transmission phase of the receiving antenna comprising a plurality of antenna elements, a synthesizer which synthesizes the output of the phase shifter so as to be output to a receiver, and a phase-shifter controller which calculates a phase set value used to form the radiation pattern capable of removing ground reflected waves so as to be set in the phase shifter. On the basis of altitude information from an antenna altitude controller, the radiation pattern of the receiving antenna is changed, and the ground reflected waves are removed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
