PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to insert a drying agent package just before sealing a disk drive and to extend the life of the drying agent to the maximum. SOLUTION: A disk drive has a drying agent housing in the room. The drying agent housing has a side wall and an end wall tacked with a bottom wall of the disk drive housing. This side wall forms a structure beam for the bottom wall, and the end wall of the drying agent extends across the width of the housing. One end wall of this housing is common to the one end wall of the housing of the disk drive. The length of the housing of the dry agent is longer than its width. The drying agent housing is structured if the top cover closes the top aperture of drive mechanism room, the top between the drying agent room and the drive mechanism room is released.
