PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circular column lens with a slant face in which the occurrence of cracks is suppressed, and which is high in performance and high in the degree of freedom for design. SOLUTION: The circular column lens 1 with the slant face where the shape of one surface out of two surfaces of an incident side and an outgoing side of light constituting a lens is spherical or aspherical and the shape of the other surface is a slant plane 2 inclined from a face vertical to a light axis is characterized in having a chamfering part 6 on a peripheral edge area of at least one face out of the two surfaces of the circular column lens 1 with the slant face, or an area 5 of a face which is substantially parallel to the vertical face.
