PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device of a simple constitution which can precisely detect the amount of the inclination of a light reflecting object of outgoing light with respect to an optical axis. SOLUTION: A device 21 which detects the amount of inclinations includes a light reflector 24, a light source 26, a condensing means 27 to condense the outgoing light from the light source 26 on the light reflector 24, and a photodetection means 23 to detect the reflected light from the light reflector 24. An optical element 22 related to the condensing means 27 has pieces of a first optical element 31 and a second optical element 32, which are formed so that they may have on the position which is axially symmetric with respect to an optical axis 28 by a predetermined amount of gaps, in the direction of a line 30 which connects an axial center 29 of the light reflector 24 and a condensing position 25 where the light outgoing from the light source 26 is condensed on the light reflector 24 by the condensing means 27. The optical element changes the quantity of the light passing through it and the quantity of the light change by the optical element well corresponds with the amount of the inclination of the light reflector 24. By obtaining the quantity of the light change, the amount of the inclination of the light reflector 24 can be detected with precision. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
