PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus without requiring wide installation space and compatible with satisfactory usability. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provided with a storage means for storing a recording medium provided in a feeding means A, a recording means B for performing recording in the recording medium to be fed from the storage means, a reading means C for reading an original, and an operation means D for operating the apparatus, the storage means can store the recording medium approximately in parallel with the gravitational direction, the recording medium B is arranged at a part lower than the storage means in the gravitational direction, the reading means C can set the original to be read approximately in parallel with the gravitational direction, the reading means C is arranged in front of the storage means and at a part higher than the recording medium B, and the operation means D is arranged at a part higher than the recording medium B in the gravitational direction and in front of the storage means.
