PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat having a wide degree of freedom in designing, whereby a seat frame can be rotated automatically even though the prime mover has a small output and which can be adjusted to any desired inclining angle. SOLUTION: A seat 1 is equipped with a frame 3, prime mover 15, and transmitting mechanism 16, wherein the frame 3 admits installation of the seat bottom 4 and is supported by a base 2 in the front frame part 7. The prime mover 15 includes a movable member 17 and a drive part 18 to reciprocate it 17 with a switching operation and stop it in the specified position. The transmitting mechanism 16 enlarges the force of the movable member 17 due to the drive part 18, transmits it to the tail of the seat frame 3, and thereby rotates the seat frame 3 in the direction of Arrow A round the front frame part 7 as fulcrum.
