<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent defective electrification and defective recovery due to such effects that toner melts and sticks on an image carrier and an electrifying roller is soiled by the toner, and to prevent the toner on the image carrier from dropping by stabilizing the contact state of a brush for an electrifier which is equipped with sheet-like brush members 3g and 3h arranged facing the image carrier 2 and whose leading ends come into contact with the surface of the image carrier 2, in a cleaner-less type image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: Ribs 11a1 and 11a3 and a sheet are arranged in press contact with the brushes 3g and 3h and on the upstream side of the brushes 3g and 3h in the image carrier moving direction so as to incline the brushes 3g and 3h toward the image carrier moving direction. Members 11a2 and 11a1 and a sheet for controlling the tilt of the bristles of the brushes 3g and 3h are arranged adjacent to the brushes 3g and 3h on the downstream side of the brushes 3g and 3h in the image carrier moving direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
