Vibrator cylinder of rotary printing press with electromotor for traverse movement connected with friction cylinder

Asynchronous electromotor (16) provides drive for traverse motion (8). Motor is connected with vibrator cylinder (1) via roller worm drive (11). Drive for rotation (7) is located at one pin (2) and drive for traverse movement (8) at second pin (3) of vibrator cylinder. Asynchronous motors (9,16) are connected to control unit (19) which sets revs of motor (9) for rotation and revs of motor (16) for traverse movement so that the revs of motor (16) alternate above and below the revs of the other motor. Speed difference between revs causes in and out screw motion of pin (3) of vibrator cylinder (1) in and out of threaded nut (14) and thus provides traverse movement (8).
