The wall element for a wooden frame construction has a prefabricated panel component consisting of two vertically disposed and spaced apart parallel to one another panels serving as the panelling (1). A head rail (2.1) is horizontally disposed between the panels at the top end, and a spacer (2.3) is located between them at the bottom end. The head rail and spacer each consist of solid wood or timber material and are fastened by screws, nails or clamps. In the assembled state the wood profiles of the frame lie upon the end faces of the spacer and head rail.
