The ground covering slab/tile (P) has mountings (B) at the under side to fit the tile into a grid-shaped sub-structure formed by lawn grid bricks or a rod grid. The mountings have points (S), to be pushed through the material filling the openings of the supporting grid with little or no rotary movements. The tiles can be laid on the grid sub-structure to give the shapes of patterns, symbols or markings.
