The transport trolley (10) for immunosuppressed patients has a chassis (12) with wheels. The patient (24) lies on a mattress (22) on a perforated grid (34) through which the air may leave the enclosed compartment (20). There is a compartment for a battery or generator, adjacent to a control module (28). Electric fans (36) draw in air from outside and push it into a compartment in the roof (30) from which it passes through a HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate) filter (40). The clean filtered air is then diffused into the compartment through a transparent grid (44).
