A CLEANING EFFICIENCY TESTING METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR A FILTER IN A FILTERING SYSTEM

A method and an apparatus are provided for testing the efficiency of a cleaning procedure for a filter in a filtering system. After the cleaning procedure (21) of the filter, the filter pores contain a fluid (22). The system is pressurized (23), and a decay in pressure over a predetermined tim e period is measured (24). Based on the pressure decay, it is determined wheth er or not the cleaning procedure has been effective (25); a pressure decay smaller than a predetermined threshold value indicates that the cleaning procedure has not been effective.
