PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic composition having an interference color developing effect and capable of giving lustrous makeup, especially, a manicure. SOLUTION: This cosmetic composition contains particles of a liquid crystal polymer in a cosmetically acceptable medium, wherein the liquid crystal polymer is obtained by polymerizing a monomer mixture comprising (a) at least one of a first monomer A and (b) at least one of a second monomer B with chirality.
