PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PTT composition in which the increase of oligomers typified by a cyclic dimer is small even when remelted; problems such as fiber cutting or occurrence of fuzz in a spinning process caused by the oligomers and variations in dyeing by the precipitation of the oligomers in a processing step are suppressed; and the process stability from spinning to processing can be significantly improved. SOLUTION: The polytrimethylene terephthalate composition that has repeating units including a trimethylene terephthalate unit in 80 wt.% or more and has an intrinsic viscosity of 0.5 dl/g or more satisfies conditions (a) and (b), wherein (a) the content of the cyclic dimer is 2 wt.% or less and (b) the content of the cyclic dimer after maintained in a molten state at 260°C for 30 mins. is 2 wt.% or less.
