PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storing device for a vehicle in which the operability in the vehicle is improved by a simple operation by a passenger. SOLUTION: The storing device 2 comprises a storing unit 21 for containing a small article 6 carried in the vehicle, a lid 22 openably provided at the unit 21, and an opening mechanism 51 for opening the lid 22 at the unit 21. The device 22 further comprises a sensor 3 for sensing to be provided on the surface of the lid 22 or near the lid 22 and that the passenger in the vehicle brings a finger into contact or approaches the finger, and a controller 4 for conducting the opening operation of the lid 22 by operating the mechanism 55 based on the sense signal from the sensor 3.
