<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method to inexpensively evaluate possibility of visual recognition of ring artifacts accurately in inspecting the quality of a display image of a medical diagnostic imaging system. <P>SOLUTION: A device is provided with a step S10 to produce a test image, a step S11 to define a concentric circle in the test image, a step S12 to average image points in the test image to produce a ring profile, a step S13 to detect ring artifacts in the ring profile, and a step S14 to compare the detected ring artifacts with a pre-set standard. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
