PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of more accurately performing the stock control of expendables of a printing apparatus without performing the dupulicate subtraction of stock by mistake.

SOLUTION: The device performing the stock control of expendables of the printing apparatus has a judge means for judging whether the printing apparatus or the expendables thereof is used by predetermined quantity during a period from the timing based on the reception of the empty signal reported through a predetermined communication circuit to the reception of residual quantity information and a control means for controlling an increase or decrease in the total stock corresponding to the judgment of the judge means.
