<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bed device which is equipped at a suitable place on the periphery of a mattress on the bottom of a bed to bring a falling prevention function including functions as a conventional head board and foot board. <P>SOLUTION: A head unit 4h, a foot unit 4f, a back side unit 4s<SB>1</SB>, and a foot side unit 4s<SB>2</SB>are mutually integrally equipped as a plurality of mattress units stuffed with a cushioning material so that the units abut on the mattress 3 supported by the bottom B on a bed frame 2 from the head side, the foot side, the back flank side, and the foot flank side.
