PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means that makes it possible for an operator to move the forefront of an endoscope in the celom of a patient without paying a particular attention to a bending state of the forefront of the endoscope in an operation using the endoscope whose forefront is bendable. SOLUTION: A receiver 20 of a knob 18 for operating upper and lower bends is engaged in the knob 18 for operating the upper and lower bends through a fixing rubber 21, and a receiver 22 of a knob 19 for operating left and right bends is engaged in the knob 19 for operating the left and right bends through a fixing rubber 23. The receiver 20 of the knob 18 for operating the upper and lower bends is provided with an axial section 24 and a sliding surface 25 and a worm wheel 26 is slidably rotationally engaged in the axial section 24 and comes into contact with the sliding surface 25. A sliding range adjustment nut 28 is fixed in the state that the worm wheel 26 and two dish a springs 27 are inserted in the axial section 24. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
