摘要 PURPOSE: A control apparatus and a method for a feeling expressing robot are provided to improve degree of completion by having a countenance display to express sadness, joy and anger according to an action of a user and expressing countenances based on input information of sensors. CONSTITUTION: A control apparatus for a feeling expressing robot comprises a visual sensor unit(411); a tactile sensor unit(413); an object sensing unit(415); a floor detecting unit(417); a speech recognition unit; a sensor inputting unit; a countenance driving unit(425); an input/output interface unit and a central processing unit. The visual sensing unit is installed to a side of a face of the robot to discriminate luminosity around. The tactile sensor unit is installed to a side of the robot discriminate impulse outside. Object sensing units are installed to four sides of a body to detect objects around. The floor detecting unit is installed to a lower portion of the body to sense separation of the robot from a floor. Speech recognition units are installed to both sides of the body to sense an input of an audible signal and a position. The sensor inputting unit comprises a battery sensing unit to detect remainder of the battery for driving electric force of the robot. The countenance driving unit displays countenance information on a side of the face. The input/output interface unit decodes with sensing signals inputted from the sensor inputting unit, transmits stored countenance information to the countenance driving unit and transmits a control signal to move the robot. The central processing unit has table information to generate countenance information based on engaged information, supplies table information to the countenance driving unit by holding movement information of the robot corresponding to countenance information and outputs the control signal based on the movement information of the robot.
