PURPOSE: An air cooling and water cooling intercooler is provided to improve engine output, and to reduce discharge of exhaust gas by increasing cooling efficiency and intake charge efficiency with cooling air through the intercooler with cold air and coolant at the same time. CONSTITUTION: An inlet tank(11) and an outlet tank(12) are formed at both sides of an intercooler(10), and both tanks are connected by plural tubes(13). Cooling fins(14) are integrally formed between tubes, and a water cooling unit(20) is installed in the outlet tank of the intercooler. The water cooling unit has a water passage(21), an inlet, an outlet(23) and plural cooling fins(24) protruded in the inner periphery, and sealed with the non-asbestos gasket for waterproofing with a pipe(15). Supercharge air is cooled by cold air in the intercooler, and cooled again by the water cooling unit for optimal combustion. Heat is absorbed with passing air between the cooling fins, and low temperature air is supplied to the engine. |
