PURPOSE: A system and a method for asking for aid through a portable terminal are provided to detect the emergency of a user through voice starting words set by the user or an additional starting unit, and to separately include a transceiving unit and a power supply inside a case so that position confirming signals and emergency signals are maintained even for the damage of the portable terminal. CONSTITUTION: An originated voice storing unit(60) stores automatically originated voice of a user and agencies for emergent contacts. An emergency call starting unit(10) generates starting signals. A switching unit(20) is switched on to apply an electric current to a power supply if the starting signals are supplied, and amplifies and encodes the starting signals. A starting signal comparing unit(30) compares the starting signals supplied through the switching of the switching unit(20) with set starting signals, to output a compared result. A controlling unit(40) automatically dials the agencies for emergent contacts stored in the originated voice storing unit(60) according to signals of the compared result of the starting signal comparing unit(30) to transmit the automatically originated voice and voice in the site supplied from the emergency call starting unit(10), and transmits position confirming signals of the user. And an aid asking system(100a) includes a wireless transceiving unit(80). The wireless transceiving unit(80) converts electrical signals supplied from the controlling unit(40) to amplify and transmit the converted signals, and converts and amplifies received signals to supply the amplified signals to the controlling unit(40).
