PURPOSE: A rubber composition for radial tire treads is provided to improve braking performance on wet roads, rotational resistance and fuel efficiency, and to increase wear resistance at the treads. CONSTITUTION: The rubber composition for radial tire treads comprises 100 parts by weight of a base rubber and a reinforcing agent consisting of 10 to 120 parts by weight of precipitated silica and 2 to 20 parts by weight of a nano-clay. The rubber composition, if desired, may further comprise one or more additives selected from the group consisting of a coupling agent, a softening agent, a vulcanization activating agent, vulcanizing agent and vulcanization accelerator. |
